In Hampshire, England's East Hampshire region, Four Marks is a village and civil parish. On the A31 highway, it is located 4.4 miles southwest of Alton. It is located along the Pilgrims' Way, which connects Winchester to Canterbury, at the edge of the South Downs National Park.
At the close of the nineteenth century, Four Marks was established on the largely undeveloped old commons and wastes that were left over from the Ropley enclosure of 1709. Alton Rural District Council established Four Marks as a parish in 1932 after annexing portions of six other parishes.
The village has a restored railroad station on the Watercress Line, and trains from there travel 4.4 miles to the northeast to Alton, the closest national rail station. However, because it is a heritage railroad, commuter trains do not operate from the station.
A sizable recreation area with BMX ramps, tennis facilities, a local bowling club, and football and cricket fields is located in the village. A tranquil area surrounded by flowerbeds beneath the village clock can be found in the newly renovated village centre.
